Technical Service Representative – Aftermarket Team


Education and Experience:

  1. Bachelor’s degree; Bachelor of Science, business management, technical or equivalent work-related experience
  2. 5 – 8 years of sales / manufacturing experience, preferably industrial equipment and / or equipment aftermarket sales & service.
  3. Demonstrated leadership ability.
  4. Knowledge of Eriez manufacturing processes and standards.  Mechanically inclined and understanding of electronics or willingness to learn is a must. 
  5. Ability to work with people at end-user, distributor / dealer, OEM, representative and inside levels with little supervision.
  6. Excellent communication skills including business / technical writing and formal presentations.  
  7. Knowledge of customer applications and use of Eriez products in these applications is a must.
  8. Ability to handle details of service, spare parts and equipment repair inquiries, including commercial and technical issues and work effectively under pressure.
  9. Able to read engineering drawings.
  10. PC skills, fast, accurate keyboarding and proficiency with current software including word processing, spreadsheet and presentation applications.  Experience with JD Edwards a plus.
  11. Willingness and aptitude to learn new products and tools to fulfill responsibilities.
  12. Strong decision-making, planning and project management skills.
  13. Ability to execute and complete tasks under pressure and manage conflicting priorities & deadlines.
  14. Positive attitude in a fast paced and stressful environment.


  1. Daily work and all tasks are to mirror the mission and core values of the company; ensure we are providing prompt, superb technical service, spare part quotes and repair to new and existing customers to create and maintain long-term partnerships.
  2. Learn and document all Eriez troubleshooting techniques and procedures.  Become a troubleshooting expert and share this knowledge with Team members over time.
  3. Provide input to and help execute growth-oriented programs for aftermarket sales and service to maximize profitability and guide others in Eriez sales to do the same.
  4. Assist with service calls and repairs both at Eriez and customer facilities.  Lead some of these jobs when appropriate. 
  5. Work closely with inside sales and further build the relationship with sales and aftermarket.  We must all speak with one common voice.
  6. Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships through new offerings to improve the value proposition of relevant equipment embedded in their business.
  7. Work closely with sales representatives and customers by phone and email to solve service, repair, warranty and parts related problems.  
  8. Travel with sales representatives and make sales calls and presentations to educate our customers on the Eriez Aftermarket offerings.  
  9. Act as liaison between customers and representatives in the field (both domestic and international) and various Eriez home office departments. 
  10. Process spare parts inquiries, quotes and orders, including the submitting of ER’s related to parts requests.
  11. Process warranty orders as required.
  12. Prepare weekly and monthly reports for your area of responsibility. Participate and present at meetings when appropriate.
  13. Encouraged to seek continuing education related to job function through Eriez Education Assistance Program.

Mineral Process Engineer

The position of mineral processing engineer will support the flotation division sales, engineering and R&D team at our Erie, PA location.  A key objective is to facilitate sales of mineral processing equipment to a world-wide market. Work will be focused on customer technical support, technical sales, new product/process develop and general technical support to global operations.  The process engineer is encouraged to promote innovative methods of achieving customer's objectives in the most efficient and cost-effective manner possible.  Specifically, the candidate must have an in-depth, fundamental knowledge of the basic principles of magnetic and flotation separation equipment.



  1. B.S. degree in mineral processing from an accredited university.
  2. 3 - 5 years of related experience 
  3. Demonstrated ability to lead major sales and technical projects.
  4. Fluent in basic computer skills including all MS Office and AutoDesk products.
  5. Multi-lingual.
  6. Solid understanding of mineral processing equipment design principles.
  7. Well organized with good leadership skills
  8. Outgoing personality with excellent interpersonal skills.
  9. Excellent verbal and written skills.
  10. Ability to travel

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  1. General management of customer projects including proposal development, contract negotiations, project test plan development/execution and final report preparation/presentation.
  2. Technical liaison with a broad range of national and international customers and agents to determine proper applications for Eriez’ equipment and recommend innovative solutions.
  3. Preparation of technical and commercial proposals for test programs and equipment.
  4. Determination of preferred flowsheets and treatment techniques.
  5. Preparation of equipment sizing recommendations and process warranties.
  6. Sales and marketing including customer presentations and technical sales calls.
  7. Management of in-house and on-site test programs, including data analysis and reporting.
  8. Domestic and international travel to support field sales teams and test programs.
  9. Development and upkeep of technical manuals, operation & maintenance manuals, and process selection tools/calculators. 
  10. Conduct equipment training sessions for customers and Eriez professional staff.
  11. Contribute to the development of prototype designs from conception through pilot-scale testing, and ultimately to full-scale implementation.
  12. Evaluation and testing of prototype and full-scale equipment at external labs and customer sites.
  13. Direct and/or participate with a team of research engineers/technicians in conducting R&D projects. 
  14. Author and present technical papers/presentation and national and international meetings.

Technical Sales Representative - International Sales



  1. Four-year Degree, Bachelor of Science, Business Management, Engineering or eight years equivalent related experience.
  2. 3-5 years applicable sales/marketing experience, preferably industrial equipment in process industries.  
  3. Ability to work with individuals at all levels, customer, representative and internally with little supervision.         
  4. Excellent communication skills including business and technical writing.  Able to handle details of equipment sales, including commercial and technical issues and work effectively under pressure.
  5. Must be willing to travel, mostly internationally, as necessary (typically 30-35%, may be more from time to time)
  6. Experience with personal computers, word processing and spreadsheet applications required.
  7. Exceptional language skills required.  Must be highly proficient in the Spanish language, written and spoken.  Other languages a plus.
  8. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and eligible to obtain any and all travel visas required. 

Job Duties:

  1. Work closely with representatives and customers by phone, mail, and in person to solve problems.
  2. Recommend and price the appropriate equipment for the customer’s application.
  3. Work closely with Engineering and Technical Center personnel to solve application problems.
  4. Travel with field representatives and make sales calls and sales presentations to get orders for all product lines in Latin America and other territories as may be assigned.
  5. Train customers and new reps in pricing and applying Separation, Vibratory and Metal Detection, and Mining equipment.
  6. Occasionally perform start-up and service calls.
  7. Act as liaison between customers and reps in the field and various Eriez home office departments.
  8. Be familiar with the policies, products, pricing, etc., of the markets served by the Company and the sales department and assist as necessary. 
  9. Entertain and act as company host during representative and customer visits, including coordinating lab tests and sales training sessions. 
  10. Other similar and related duties as assigned.
