EHS Specialist

The EHS Specialist is responsible for evaluating, designing, implementing, and maintaining Eriez’ workplace environmental, safety and health programs that are consistent with applicable regulatory and corporate requirements.

 

Education and Experience:

  1. BA/BS Degree Environmental Engineering, Safety Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, related field of study, or equivalent experience.
  2. Three to five years’ work experience in environmental, health & safety-related field.
  3. Technical writing including development of technical documents, procedures, sampling plans, hazard/job analyses, and training presentations.
  4. Working in a team environment with proven decision making and problem-solving skills.
  5. Able to influence and communicate effectively with leaders, technicians, engineers, contractors and supporting staff.
  6. Experience with managing EHS programs, interacting and training all levels of personnel.
  7. Ability to work effectively and efficiently under pressure while managing competing demands and tight deadlines.
  8. Must be available to support manufacturing operations with occasional evenings and weekends as needed.
  9. Excellent customer service skills.
  10. Expert proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Work, Power Point, Project, etc.).
  11. Strong preference for candidates with experience in manufacturing.

Duties:

  1. Act as a subject matter expert to develop and implement action plans, processes, and procedures to control environmental, safety & health risks.
  2. Develop and maintain EHS programs consistent with applicable regulatory standards (EPA, PADEP, OSHA, DOT, etc.).
  3. Build and maintain an effective regulatory engagement system to foster positive relationships with federal, state and local regulators.
  4. Coordinate, evaluate, develop, all workplace related environmental, health and safety programs.
  5. Facilitate and conduct EHS training
  6. Coaches all levels of personnel on critical skills, behaviors and techniques that build and sustain a proactive safety culture.
  7. Organize and conduct studies sufficient to identify hazards, risks, and trends.
  8. Ensure emergency management programs are developed and maintained in a state of readiness for anticipated emergencies including hazards assessments, personnel training, equipment, and alerting systems. Responds to site emergencies.
  9. Perform Incident investigation and reporting; create and facilitate action plans; track and drive investigations to completion.
  10. Perform new chemical approval requests (SDS review) and maintain and update the online SDS library
  11. Maintain relevant EH&S records and documentation for training and inspections / audit.
  12. Support the Manager, Risk Management and Improvement with the development of annual plans including goals, objectives, targets, training, audits, etc.
  13. Manage proper classification, labeling, storage, and shipment of hazardous, universal, and non-hazardous wastes.
  14. Maintain awareness of federal, state and local environmental, safety, and health regulations.
  15. Manage First Aid Committee and First Aid Supplies
  16. Responsible for all aspects of the Safety Committee, including, but not limited to, meetings, training and annual certification.

Global Technical Sales Advisor

The Global Technical Sales Advisor (“GTSA”) has the primary responsibility to provide highly relevant technical support to the global Sales team of Eriez. Training will be a large part of the duties of the role, with the long-term goal of increasing worldwide sales by improving the overall knowledge base of the global Sales team.

 

Qualifications:

  1. BS/MS Degree, preferably in related field such as business, marketing or STEM fields, or 
  2. A demonstrated ability to succeed in a Sales-related position with minimum 15 years’ experience. 
  3. Previous experience in training and providing technical support for inside and outside Sales personnel.
  4. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively (written & verbal) to both customers and colleagues.
  5. Strong business sense and industry expertise.
  6. Excellent mentoring or coaching ability.  
  7. Ability to travel internationally required.
  8. Fluency in English is required; ability to communicate in other languages is a strong asset.
  9. Ability to work closely with customers.

Duties:

  1. Communicate product information, selling best practices, market and application information to the global Sales teams in order to help generate sales growth.
  2. Actively train the global Sales team using both in-person and virtual methods.  Develop training tools that can be disseminated to the global Sales team.
  3. Identify and communicate sales opportunities across regions (i.e., cross-pollination).
  4. Collect sales and customer data from global business units to highlight areas for strategic development.
  5. Support the identification, appointment, management and assessment of resellers, distributors and representative agents.
  6. Participate in global product analysis projects: gather information and data, contribute to analysis and identification of options.
  7. Share input on global marketing tools and needs.
  8. Strengthen & develop the global Sales team through active participation in regular, local Sales meetings.
  9. Foster a ‘One Eriez’ culture throughout the globe.
  10. Help mentor and develop talent within the global Sales organization.
  11. Attend and present papers and product information at global conferences and exhibitions.
  12. Work together with other managers (regional and global) for systemic improvements.
  13. Maintain a thorough and up-to-date understanding of Eriez policy and procedures, sales order processes, general product knowledge and risk appetite (i.e., Terms and Conditions).

Mineral Process Engineer

The position of mineral processing engineer will support the flotation division sales, engineering and R&D team at our Erie, PA location.  A key objective is to facilitate sales of mineral processing equipment to a world-wide market. Work will be focused on customer technical support, technical sales, new product/process develop and general technical support to global operations.  The process engineer is encouraged to promote innovative methods of achieving customer's objectives in the most efficient and cost-effective manner possible.  Specifically, the candidate must have an in-depth, fundamental knowledge of the basic principles of magnetic and flotation separation equipment.

 

Qualifications:

  1. B.S. degree in mineral processing from an accredited university.
  2. 3 - 5 years of related experience 
  3. Demonstrated ability to lead major sales and technical projects.
  4. Fluent in basic computer skills including all MS Office and AutoDesk products.
  5. Multi-lingual.
  6. Solid understanding of mineral processing equipment design principles.
  7. Well organized with good leadership skills
  8. Outgoing personality with excellent interpersonal skills.
  9. Excellent verbal and written skills.
  10. Ability to travel

Primary Job Responsibilities:

  1. General management of customer projects including proposal development, contract negotiations, project test plan development/execution and final report preparation/presentation.
  2. Technical liaison with a broad range of national and international customers and agents to determine proper applications for Eriez’ equipment and recommend innovative solutions.
  3. Preparation of technical and commercial proposals for test programs and equipment.
  4. Determination of preferred flowsheets and treatment techniques.
  5. Preparation of equipment sizing recommendations and process warranties.
  6. Sales and marketing including customer presentations and technical sales calls.
  7. Management of in-house and on-site test programs, including data analysis and reporting.
  8. Domestic and international travel to support field sales teams and test programs.
  9. Development and upkeep of technical manuals, operation & maintenance manuals, and process selection tools/calculators. 
  10. Conduct equipment training sessions for customers and Eriez professional staff.
  11. Contribute to the development of prototype designs from conception through pilot-scale testing, and ultimately to full-scale implementation.
  12. Evaluation and testing of prototype and full-scale equipment at external labs and customer sites.
  13. Direct and/or participate with a team of research engineers/technicians in conducting R&D projects. 
  14. Author and present technical papers/presentation and national and international meetings.

Technical Sales Representative - International Sales

 

Qualifications:

  1. Four-year Degree, Bachelor of Science, Business Management, Engineering or eight years equivalent related experience.
  2. 3-5 years applicable sales/marketing experience, preferably industrial equipment in process industries.  
  3. Ability to work with individuals at all levels, customer, representative and internally with little supervision.         
  4. Excellent communication skills including business and technical writing.  Able to handle details of equipment sales, including commercial and technical issues and work effectively under pressure.
  5. Must be willing to travel, mostly internationally, as necessary (typically 30-35%, may be more from time to time)
  6. Experience with personal computers, word processing and spreadsheet applications required.
  7. Exceptional language skills required.  Must be highly proficient in the Spanish language, written and spoken.  Other languages a plus.
  8. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and eligible to obtain any and all travel visas required. 

Job Duties:

  1. Work closely with representatives and customers by phone, mail, and in person to solve problems.
  2. Recommend and price the appropriate equipment for the customer’s application.
  3. Work closely with Engineering and Technical Center personnel to solve application problems.
  4. Travel with field representatives and make sales calls and sales presentations to get orders for all product lines in Latin America and other territories as may be assigned.
  5. Train customers and new reps in pricing and applying Separation, Vibratory and Metal Detection, and Mining equipment.
  6. Occasionally perform start-up and service calls.
  7. Act as liaison between customers and reps in the field and various Eriez home office departments.
  8. Be familiar with the policies, products, pricing, etc., of the markets served by the Company and the sales department and assist as necessary. 
  9. Entertain and act as company host during representative and customer visits, including coordinating lab tests and sales training sessions. 
  10. Other similar and related duties as assigned.
