Welder

Requirements:          

  1. Able to read and interpret complicated engineering drawings.
  2. Able to use basic shop math including fractions and decimals.
  3. Minimum of three years welding experience or completion of a certified welding course.
  4. Able to use required measuring instruments.
  5. Able to make simple lay-outs.
  6. Proficient in all FLUX CORE, MIG and TIG welding procedures.

Duties: 

  1. Use various welding machines and welding filler materials as directed.
  2. Perform work required with minimal amount of supervision.
  3. Make proper settings on machines.
  4. Use torch equipment for burning, heating, air arc gouging..
  5. Use grinders, chippers, sanders and other small tools.
  6. Keep work station clean and orderly.

CNC Mill Operator 

Requirements:          

  1. Must be able to read complicated engineering drawings, use advanced mathematics and handbook formulas.
  2. Must be able to use a variety of precision measuring instruments with proficiency.  
  3. Must have experience in programming and operating, (acknowledged training preferred) using conversational and G-code systems to create programs from engineering drawings (Mazak Mazatrol preferred). 
  4. Must possess a good knowledge of machining processes acquired through formal training, including knowledge of materials, feeds, speeds, tooling, inserts, coolant, drills, taps, etc. 
  5. Must be able to set up and operate horizontal and vertical CNC machining centers including the setting of all tooling and fixtures, proper feeds and speeds, using both carbide and high-speed steel tools.

Duties: 

  1. Day to day operation of CNC milling machines following work lists, shop routers or direction from immediate supervisor while maintaining work schedule and adhering to set time standards.
  2. Operator is responsible for all set up including first piece inspection and fixture design, when required.
  3. Use the overhead crane to position work pieces weighing up to several thousand pounds in a safe manner using cables, slings and chains.
  4. Keep workstation clean and orderly.
  5. Perform other similar and related duties as assigned by supervisor

 

Parts Finisher 

Duties/Responsibilities:          

  1. Finish parts as specified by drawings/spec. sheets, including polishing and sanitary finishing of magnetic assemblies.
  2. De-burr work pieces with use of files, grinders, sanders, etc.
  3. Use filling compounds to repair surface imperfections.
  4. Operate sandblast and glass bead equipment.
  5. Use proper techniques to clean work pieces.
  6. Operate overhead cranes, clamping devices, presses and porta power.
  7. Maintains, organizes, and cleans equipment and the work area.
  8. Performs other related duties as assigned. 
  9. Perform miscellaneous labor jobs.

Required Skills/Abilities: 

  1. Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and use basic shop math including decimals, fractions.
  2. Excellent ability to read and listen to assignments given in a variety of forms.
  3. Able to follow routings, details work instructions, spec sheets, and sales order copies.
  4. Visually identify hot rolled, cold rolled, stainless steel, mild steel and other materials.

Physical Requirements:

Shipping Clerk

The Shipping Clerk will properly package large and small products to insure timely shipment.

Required Qualifications:          

  1. Able to write legibly and read and understand written instructions.
  2. Able to read and interpret basic engineering drawings and use general shop math including decimals and fractions.
  3. Able to use simple charts, tables and formulas as required.
  4. Demonstrated related experience in carpentry to design and build shipping skids, boxes and crates that will result in delivery without damage to product.
  5. Able to use hand tools and power tools safely to package shipments.  (Power stapler, nail gun, table saw, radial saw, and other types of packaging equipment).
  6. Able to build and design tables, fixtures, and other permanent structures.
  7. Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license.
  8. Basic computer keyboarding, data entry/retrieval skills required.

 

Job Duties:

  1. Properly package, crate, large and small products.
  2. Load and unload trucks as required.
  3. Maintain all shipping records as instructed.
  4. Prepare all necessary shipping papers, tags, packing list and labels as required.
  5. Track lost and delayed shipments as required.

Order Administration Clerk

 

Required Qualifications:

Senior Controls/Systems Technician

Currently we have an opening for a Senior Controls/Systems Technician at our Wager Road facility in Erie, PA.

In this role, the successful candidate will:

  1. Perform layout and drill operations whenever necessary to meet production schedules.
  2. Assemble, wire, test, and trouble-shoot complex electrical and basic electronic products (Small to medium size controls/systems for various Eriez products).
  3. Mount controls to Eriez systems in production including wiring of controls to system devices, mounting of junction boxes, running SO/SJO cables and multiconductor cables, and running of conduit (i.e. Sealtite, Liquidtite and EMT) where needed
  4. Set device parameters and conduct functional testing and inspection of completed systems.
  5. Serve as liaison between production and electrical engineering on troubleshooting and drawing issues.

Additional Responsibilities Include:

  1. Wiring and testing of 3-phase and 1-phase motors (1/2 HP to 150 HP) and other electrical devices to Eriez equipment.
  2. Assist other departments with their specific electrical requirements when needed.
  3. Evaluate and generate a repair report for Control Panels sent back to the Repair Group.
  4. Attend periodic training sessions as required to support equipment.
  5. Perform other similar and related duties.

Required Qualifications:

  1. 2-year Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology with a minimum of 7 years of experience in related fields.
  2. Working knowledge of industrial control components including but not limited to relays, timers, starters, rectifiers, shunts, transformers, motors, VFD’s, Smart Relays, PLC’s and various forms of instrumentation.
  3. Working knowledge of high voltage (i.e. 480VAC/3-phase), high current circuits (i.e. 150A), control signals (i.e. 4-20mA and 0-10VDC) and associated instrumentation.
  4. Ability to plan, layout, wire, and test complete electromechanical devices and systems in an orderly and economical manner.
     

Lead Mechanical Engineer- Research & Development

Currently we have an opening for a Lead Mechanical Engineer- Research & Development at our Wager Road facility in Erie, PA. The individual selected for this role will design, develop, and successfully implement research and development products from concept to release. Perform ANSYS finite element structural and modal analyses to support product design. Lead teams of engineers and designers through each phase of the product design and development program.
 

Education:

Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering required. Master of Science or professional engineering license desired.
 

Required Qualifications:          

  1. Has the ability to create 3D solid models of design concepts using Inventor software, and to create drawings which contain the proper design functional requirements and utilize proper dimensioning and tolerancing per ANSI and AWS documentation practices.
  2. Ability to work independently on projects with minimal supervision, and to define and maintain accurate manpower requirements and timeframes for project completion.
  3. Define all the research and development steps required to successfully take an idea from concept to product release.

Network Security Administrator

Currently we have an opening for a Network Security Administrator. Responsible for the daily maintenance of a Windows network and cloud applications. Provide support for all systems and respond to escalated service requests. Monitors and responds to service and security related alerts. Documents network infrastructure, applications, and procedures. Maintains resources to ensure data availability and disaster recovery. Support installation and maintenance of network hardware and software. Assist with daily operations of MS Azure based services. Assist with daily operations of MS O365 environment

Senior Designer

Education:

  • Drafting/design curriculum in high school


Experience:
Minimum 10 years design experience

Job Qualifications:

  1. Demonstrate sufficient drafting skills to properly dimension and tolerance drawings, ensure that mating parts fit properly without tolerance errors, and understand when to use fractional and decimal dimensions and tolerances to ensure cost effective manufacturing of the Eriez product line.   
  2. Demonstrate the ability to use AutoCAD and Inventor software to create and update solid models and production drawings for customer orders and a thorough understanding of how to store and retrieve models and drawings from the Eriez Vault.
  3. Demonstrate the ability to use advanced capabilities of Autodesk Inventor including parametric modeling, including incorporating spread sheets into parametric models and using the I-logic functions. 
  4. Possess an understanding of the assigned product line with respect to how it is manufactured at Eriez and how it is to operate in the field.

  5.  Ensure that drawings are dimensioned per ANSI Y14.5 for drawing dimensions and tolerance practices and ANSI/AWS A2-4 for standard drawing symbols for welding and brazing.
  6. Ensure that assigned orders are processed through the Engineering Department according to company policy.

Designer

Work under the supervision of Engineers and Senior Designers to produce solid models and production drawings for customer orders. This includes making detailed drawings, processing paperwork, and maintaining schedules. 
 

Education: 

  • 2 year technical school degree
  • 2 year associates degree in mechanical design
  • Drafting/design curriculum in high school

Experience:

  • Entry level to 10 years

Required Qualifications:          

  1. Possess basic drafting skills with the ability to identify when fractional and decimal dimensions and tolerances are required. This includes an understanding of how to properly place enough dimensions on drawings to avoid confusion and errors in Manufacturing.   
  2. Possess the ability to use AutoCAD and Inventor software to create and update solid models and production drawings for customer orders.

Mechanical Engineer III

This position reports to the Engineering Manager, Mechanical Group. The candidate selected for this role will design and engineer custom equipment based upon standard product line designs and established engineering guidelines.

Job Responsibilities:

  1. Modify existing equipment designs based on customer requirements and perform the necessary engineering calculations to ensure reliable operation in the field.
  2. Solid model the equipment using Inventor software and produce production drawings as required with proper dimensions and tolerances per ANSI and AWS documentation practices.
  3. Produce Installation, Operation, and Maintenance (IOM) documents for equipment.
  4. Evaluate product lines for third party certification (UL, CSA, CE).
  5. Communicate concerns and questions to immediate supervisor.
  6. Evaluate equipment issues on the shop floor and in the field and provide solutions to troubleshoot equipment issues.
  7. Travel to field installations on occasion to evaluate and trouble shoot equipment issues in the field.
  8. Work on new products as well as on product improvement projects and maintain a design notebooks outlining critical engineering design calculations and improvements based on engineering calculations.
  9. Perform tasks as assigned by immediate supervisor with minimal supervision.

Job Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology.
  2. 5 to 10 years’ experience in machine design with solid modeling experience. Possess the ability to understand how a product is to function from a theoretical point of view.
  3. Possess the ability to review existing product designs from and an engineering point of view and determine the critical components or design features that require engineering calculations.

Information Systems Support Specialist

Required Qualifications:          

  1. B.S. in the field of computer science or equivalent

Utility Assembler/Coil Winding (EMA)

The Utility Assembler (Coil Winding) will assemble/wind various coil assemblies to written instructions or engineering drawings to meet established standards. 
 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  1. Assemble/wind various coil assemblies to written instructions or engineering drawings to meet established standards.
  2. Set up and operate all coil winding machines, selecting the proper speeds and feeds for various winding applications using proper mandrels and other fixtures/tooling as required.
  3. Splice wires of various diameters using a resistance wire splicer, aluminum solder and silver solder and the required torch equipment to obtain good mechanical and electrical characteristics.
  4. Perform wet winding operations using proper precautions handling epoxy compounds, keeping work area neat and clean.
  5. Use specialized tools and fixtures electrical and mechanical to complete assembly.
  6. Ability to work with epoxies and adhesives as required in the assembly applications.
  7. Able to work in a safe manner routinely handling coils weighing several thousand pounds and powerful magnets and high voltage.
  8. Perform coil winding and assembly work in other assembly areas as directed by supervisor/leadman.
  9. Keep log of all coils wound, including all pertinent data to ensure coil quality.

  2. Retrieve and replace inventory (raw materials) as required, protecting the inventory integrity of the inventory management system, including cycle counts.

  5. Able to make simple lay outs.
  6. Proficient in all FLUX CORE, MIG and TIG welding procedures.

Job Duties:

  1. Use various welding machines and welding filler materials as directed.
  2. Perform work required with moderate amount of supervision.
  3. Make proper settings on machines.
  4. Use torch equipment for burning, heating, air arc gouging.

CNC Lathe Operator

The CNC Lathe Operator will program. set-up and operate a CNC lathe machine following list, shop routers or direction from immediate supervisor.  
 

Duties/Responsibilities:

  1. Day to day operation of CNC lathe machine following work lists, shop routers or direction from immediate supervisor while maintaining work schedule with a goal of improving safety and/or production.
  2. Operator is responsible for all set up, programming, and fixture design; ensuring that parts meet all inspection requirements, including first piece inspection.
  3. Operate overhead cranes, clamping devices, presses and porta power.
  4. Maintains, organizes, and cleans equipment and the work area.
  5. Perform similar and related duties as assigned by supervisor.

Required Skills/Abilities: 

  1. Program set up and operate horizontal and vertical CNC lathes including the setting of all tooling and fixtures, proper feeds and speeds, using both carbide and high-speed steel tools.
  2. Able to read and interpret engineering drawings and use Advanced mathematics and formulas.
  3. Use a variety of precision measuring instruments with proficiency.
  4. Experience in programming and operating, (acknowledged training preferred) using Mazatrol or conversational control systems to create programs from engineering drawings.
  5. Ability to learn machining processes through formal training, including knowledge of materials, feeds, speeds, tooling, inserts, coolant, drills, taps, etc.

Required Qualifications:

Job Duties:

  1. Work closely with representatives and customers by phone, mail, e-mail and in person to solve application problems and handle inquiries.

Lab Manager- Eriez Flotation’s Lab Service

Currently we have an opening for a Lab Manager – Eriez Flotation’s Lab Services to manage all aspects of the Eriez Flotation laboratory to facilitate sales of mineral separation equipment to a world-wide market utilizing technical sales techniques for new and existing projects. Position will include supervision of laboratory staff.

Primary Duties:          

  1. General management of laboratory projects including the scheduling, planning, and execution using best discretion, judgement, and experience. Projects may include both in-house and on-site test programs.
  2. Management of the derivation and practice of SAFE standard laboratory operating procedures.
  3. Supervision and management of direct reports consisting of technicians and chemists.
  4. Development of technical and commercial proposals for mineral separation test work based on customer needs and requirements.
  5. Technical liaison with a broad range of national and international customers and agents to determine the best approach to achieve customer goals.
  6. Determination of preferred flow sheets and treatment techniques.
  7. Spearhead assistance to customers to solve technical problems and recommend innovative solutions.
  8. Continuous improvement to ensure that proposals, test work and reports produced by the metallurgical lab are of high quality.
  9. Reach consensus on approved testing methods and develop standard procedures and guidelines.
  10. Support the sales, engineering and production teams with data and information gained from testing.

Secondary Duties:

  1. Help in preparation of process warranties based on test data or experience.
  2. Increase laboratory revenue by participating and/or giving presentations to customers, conducting technical sales calls, or attending industry-related conferences.

Mineral Process Engineer

The position of mineral processing engineer will support the flotation sales, engineering and R&D team at our Erie, PA location.  A key objective is to facilitate sales of mineral processing equipment to a world-wide market. Work will be focused on customer technical support, technical sales, new product/process develop and general technical support to global operations.  The process engineer is encouraged to promote innovative methods of achieving customer's objectives in the most efficient and cost-effective manner possible.  Specifically, the candidate must have an in-depth, fundamental knowledge of the basic principles of magnetic and flotation separation equipment.

Sr. Electrical, Electronic Technician

Wager Road Position

Required Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering preferred or a 2-year Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering Technology with a minimum of 7 years of experience in related fields.
  2. Thorough understanding of electrical and electronic circuitry.
  3. Ability to read and comprehend complicated mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and circuit schematics.
  4. Ability to build control panels, assemble, wire and test electromechanical devices and systems.
  5. Ability to use electronic test equipment for functional and electrical testing of controls, repair and troubleshooting of systems.

  2. Perform layout and drill operations whenever necessary to meet production schedules.
  3. Mount controls to Eriez systems in production including wiring of controls to system devices, mounting of junction boxes, running of flexible/Sealtite and EMT conduit runs where needed and working with manufacturing or contractors to complete threaded rigid conduit runs when required.
  4. Load system programs to PLC, set device parameters and conduct functional testing and inspection of completed systems.
  5. Wiring and testing of motors and other electrical devices to Eriez equipment.
  6. Serve as liaison between production and electrical engineering on troubleshooting and drawing issues.
  7. Attend periodic training sessions as required to support equipment.

Lead R&D Mechanical Engineer

Currently we have an opening for a Lead R&D Mechanical Engineer at our Wager Road facility. The individual selected for this role will design, develop, and successfully implement research and development products from concept to release. Perform ANSYS finite element structural and modal analyses to support product design. Lead teams of engineers and designers through each phase of the product design and development program.

Qualifications:

  1. Possess the ability to work independently on projects with minimal supervision, and to define and maintain accurate manpower requirements and timeframes for project completion.
  2. Possess the ability to define all the research and development steps required to successfully take an idea from concept to product release.
  3. Possess machine design experience with the ability to review existing and new product designs from an engineering point of view.

Education:
