Junior Application Devloper/IT Specialist 

 

Description:

Eriez Manufacturing is seeking a Junior Application Developer / IT Specialist.  This person will be a member of a growing IT team focused on enhancing the capabilities for the company.  This person will be working with IT and other Business members to enhance, maintain and monitor Eriez web applications.  There will also be an additional need to monitor and document other IT operational systems and maintain records.

This position reports to the Applications Systems Administrator.

Responsibilites:

  1. Work with the IT group and Business members to develop enhancements for existing web applications.
  2. Maintain and troubleshoot issues with existing Eriez web applications.
  3. Create or enhance documentation to related to Eriez web applications.
  4. Monitor application performance and recommend improvements.
  5. Perform user acceptance testing.
  6. Perform record management and other operational tasks.

Requirements:

  1. Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
  2. Demonstrate experience with C#, ASP.NET, HTML, Javascript, CSS
  3. Experience with MS Office software
  4. Ability to effectively communicate
  5. Cooperatively work in a team environment
  6. Analytical and problem-solving skills
  7. Ability to learn quickly and adapt to evolving technologies
  8. Self-motivated with the discipline to meet project deadlines
  9. Experience with Microsoft Azure platform is a definite plus, but not required
  10. Experience with Microsoft Dynamics is a plus, but not required

 

IT Business Analyst

 

Job Purpose:

Responsible for detailed business requirements analysis, process documentation, systems analysis and end user testing and data validation.  Works with business department personnel and the Eriez IT technical team to introduce new software systems or modify existing software systems to support the business.  Evaluates new feature enhancements to existing software and determines impact of the new functionality.  Works with business department personnel to evaluate process impacts and implementation of new functionality.

 

This position reports to the ERP Administrator.

 

Education and Experience:

  1. Three to five years of relevant experience.

Qualifications:

  1. BS degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent
  2. Three to five years relevant experience.
  3. Strong client-facing and communication skills
  4. Ability to communicate technical information, both verbal and written, to a wide range of end-users
  5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  6. Excellent documentation skills
  7. Competency with ERP and BI solutions

Job Duties:

  1. Evaluates business processes and recommends solutions to optimize efficiency and workflow
  2. Conducts meetings with business and IT teams to share findings and recommendations
  3. Develops detailed requirements analysis to support optimization efforts
  4. Works with IT team, end-users and management staff to ensure appropriate solution
  5. Performs data validation and user acceptance testing
  6. Develops and publishes end user procedures
  7. May manage projects: develop plans, monitor performance, monitor competing resources and priorities, monitor deliverable schedule and timely completion of project
  8. Supports Help Desk as a Level 2 resource for applications
  9. Remains current with the latest process and IT advancements to automate and modernize systems

Technical Sales Representative - International Sales

 

Qualifications:

  1. Four-year Degree, Bachelor of Science, Business Management, Engineering or eight years equivalent related experience.
  2. 3-5 years applicable sales/marketing experience, preferably industrial equipment in process industries.  
  3. Ability to work with individuals at all levels, customer, representative and internally with little supervision.         
  4. Excellent communication skills including business and technical writing.  Able to handle details of equipment sales, including commercial and technical issues and work effectively under pressure.
  5. Must be willing to travel, mostly internationally, as necessary (typically 30-35%, may be more from time to time)
  6. Experience with personal computers, word processing and spreadsheet applications required.
  7. Exceptional language skills required.  Must be highly proficient in the Spanish language, written and spoken.  Other languages a plus.
  8. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and eligible to obtain any and all travel visas required. 

Job Duties:

  1. Work closely with representatives and customers by phone, mail, and in person to solve problems.
  2. Recommend and price the appropriate equipment for the customer’s application.
  3. Work closely with Engineering and Technical Center personnel to solve application problems.
  4. Travel with field representatives and make sales calls and sales presentations to get orders for all product lines in Latin America and other territories as may be assigned.
  5. Train customers and new reps in pricing and applying Separation, Vibratory and Metal Detection, and Mining equipment.
  6. Occasionally perform start-up and service calls.
  7. Act as liaison between customers and reps in the field and various Eriez home office departments.
  8. Be familiar with the policies, products, pricing, etc., of the markets served by the Company and the sales department and assist as necessary. 
  9. Entertain and act as company host during representative and customer visits, including coordinating lab tests and sales training sessions. 
  10. Other similar and related duties as assigned.

Production Control Planner

 

Responsibilities:

  • Specific responsibilities include assisting in establishing manufacturing/assembly processes, labor hours, and process documentation. Schedules shop orders through work centers and monitors sub-assembled and raw inventory levels. Plan and schedule material to support manufacturing.
  • Will be involved with capacity planning, resource utilization and efficiency metrics. Participates in continuous improvement activities. Represents the interest of Production Control on cross-functional teams.

 

Qualifications:

  1. Read and understand written instructions and engineering drawings.
  2. Legible handwriting, computer literate and keyboard proficient.
  3. Ability to convert information on drawings to production bills of materials requiring the use of math formulas including plane and solid geometry.
  4. Knowledge of various manufacturing processes and equipment in order convert drawings to sequenced labor operations and time requirements (routings) both in-house and utilizing Sub-contracting.
  5. Knowledge of raw materials and their applications.
  6. Education or equivalent experience in one of the following
    • Industrial Engineering,  Manufacturing Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
    • Materials requirements planning
    • Inventory management and control
    • Eriez parts/product knowledge
  7. Willingness to pursue additional education.

 

Job Duties:

  1. Calculate and assign promise dates to customer orders.
  2. Convert customer orders to shop packets.
  3. Plan, schedule and requisition materials to support manufacturing.
  4. Plan and schedule labor operations. 
  5. Plan manufacturing stock orders to maintain inventory levels for timely delivery to customers with minimum investment.
  6. Schedule shop orders through various operations and work centers.
  7. Revise production schedules due to capacity restraints, drawing/order revisions, or to meet customer expectations.
  8. Expedite materials to meet production schedules.
  9. Accept responsibility for managing assigned items of inventory and maintain stock levels within company parameters. 
  10. Utilize computer based manufacturing control programs to perform job functions.
  11. Maintain accurate database of routings and bills of material.
  12. Interface and clearly communicate verbally and in writing with all levels of the Eriez’ organization.
  13. Completes other job related assignments as assigned by supervisor.

 

Welder - 2nd Shift, Asbury Road Facility

 

Qualifications:

  1. Able to read and interpret complicated engineering drawings.
  2. Able to use basic shop math including fractions and decimals.
  3. Minimum of three years welding experience or completion of a certified welding course.
  4. Able to use required measuring instruments.
  5. Able to make simple lay-outs.
  6. Proficient in all FLUX CORE. Welding procedures.
  7. Able to pass a Weld Test

Job Duties:

  1. Use various welding machines (Mig, Tig, and Flux Core) and welding filler materials as directed.
  2. Perform work required with minimal amount of supervision.
  3. Make proper settings on machines.
  4. Use torch equipment for burning, heating, brazing and soldering.
  5. Use grinders, chippers, sanders and other small tools.
  6. Keep work station clean and orderly.
  7. Perform other similar and related duties as assigned by supervisor.
  8. Work with heavy and large objects.

Engineering Manager - Mechanical Group

 

Description:

  1. Design and Engineer custom equipment to fulfill customer order requirements.
  2. Supervise Engineers and Designers to complete customer orders and projects on schedule.
  3. Perform all necessary calculations required to ensure that the equipment will operate reliably in the field
  4. Participate in Corporate growth programs and product improvement/standardization programs

Education and Experience:

  1. Minimum BS degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  2. 15+ years of experience in machine design.
  3. Experience with 3-D CAD software or other analysis software.
  4. Project management and supervisory experience.

Qualifications:

  1. Possess the ability to understand how the assigned product line is to function from a theoretical point of view.
  2. Possess Machine Design experience with the ability to review existing and new product designs from an engineering point of view and determine the critical components or design features that require engineering calculations.
  3. Possess the ability to perform the necessary engineering calculations and establish engineering guidelines to design reliable, cost effective equipment to fulfill customer requirements.
  4. Possess excellent oral and written communication skills to relay clear, concise information to supervisors, co-workers and outside parties (customers, subcontractors, etc.).
  5. Demonstrated experience in the area of engineering drawing review, efficient manufacturing procedures as well as an understanding of ANSI/AWS documentation practices for proper drawing dimensions, tolerances and symbols.
  6. Experience in a supervisory position.
  7. Ability to guide professional colleagues through complex customer orders and assigned projects.
  8. Possess the ability to manage short and long term projects that require team work between coworkers and departments.
  9. Demonstrate a level of creativity and ingenuity, as well as problem solving skills, to provide reliable, cost-effective solutions to design issues.
  10. Willing to travel when necessary.

Job Duties:

  1. Review sales orders and determine from accompanying specification sheets the amount of engineering and design resources required to complete the order. This includes interfacing with Sales to ensure that specification sheets are complete as well as to obtain the necessary information required to design the equipment to customer expectations.
  2. Schedule customer orders through the Engineering Department and maintain an order schedule.
  3. Supervise engineers and designers to modify existing equipment designs and produce new equipment designs based on customer requirements.
  4. Perform necessary engineering calculations to ensure reliable equipment operation in the field.
  5. Ensure that all necessary drawings are produced to manufacture the equipment and ensure that all drawings are properly stored in the vault
  6. Review critical drawings for accuracy and efficient manufacturing. Enforce ANSI/AWS documentation practices for proper drawing dimensions, tolerances and symbols.
  7. Evaluate product lines for third party certification (UL, CSA, CE). Determine the scope of the project and resources necessary to perform certification. Interface with third parties and follow project to completion.
  8. Ensure that adequate staffing levels are maintained.
  9. Evaluate equipment issues on the shop floor and in the field, and provide solutions to troubleshoot equipment issues.
  10. Proactively review product lines to standardized where possible, implement the latest technology into existing product lines, improve product reliability, increase manufacturing efficiencies and reduce costs.
  11. Travel on occasion to field installations to evaluate and trouble shoot equipment issues.
  12. Perform tasks as assigned by immediate supervisor.
  13. Communicate concerns and questions to immediate supervisor.

Research and Development Magnet Design Engineer

 

Education and Experience:

Position requires a BS or MS in Electrical Engineering with 5 years of experience in magnet circuit design.

Qualifications:

  1. Possess a strong analytical background with the ability to mathematically model static and dynamic system
  2. Possess the knowledge of fundamental principles of electro-magnet design
  3. Possess the knowledge of fundamental principles of permanent magnet design
  4. Possess the ability to mathematically analyze magnetic circuits using textbook solutions and FEA tools.
  5. Possess the “hands-on” skills to set-up and test prototype magnetic circuits
  6. Possess experience in designing and manufacturing oil filled, potted, and dry magnet coils, including experience with coil winding processes
  7. Possess good communication and technical writing skills
  8. Work in a team environment on R&D projects that lead to new and improved product lines
  9. Willing to travel up to 10% 

Job Duties:

  1. Design permanent magnet circuits, electro-magnet circuits, and electro-permanent magnet circuits for magnetic separation equipment, vibratory conveying equipment, and magnamation equipment.
  2. Construct 2-d and 3-d magnetic models of new and existing magnet circuits using INFOLYTICA FEA software to evaluate circuit performance (static and dynamic).
  3. Evaluate power requirements and thermal effects for static and dynamic operation of magnetic separation equipment due to eddy currents and operating heat losses. 
  4. Evaluate and specify permanent magnet materials for magnet circuits
  5. Conduct lab tests to verify magnet circuit designs
  6. Evaluate magnet vendors and provide test procedures to inspect new magnet materials
  7. Work with the Central Test Lab to ensure that magnetic separation tests conducted on lab equipment will simulate actual field operation with thermal losses.   
  8. Provide technical support to Engineering, Manufacturing, and Service for new and existing magnetic product lines. 
  9. Provide technical assistance to the Sales Department for field application  
  10. Perform other duties as specified by immediate supervisor.
