Technical Sales Representative – Light Industry

 

Qualifications:

  1. Four-year Degree, Bachelor of Science, Business Management, Engineering or equivalent related experience.
  2. 1-2 years sales/marketing experience, preferably industrial equipment in process and packaging industries.
  3. Ability to work with people at customer, representative and inside levels with little supervision.         
  4. Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication skills including business and technical writing.   
  5. Ability to handle details of equipment sales, including commercial and technical issues and work effectively under pressure.
  6. Must be willing to travel (approximately 25 - 30%) as necessary.

Duties:

  • Work closely with representatives and customers by phone, mail, e-mail and in person to solve application problems and handle inquiries.
  • Recommend and price the appropriate equipment for the customer’s application.
  • Work closely with Engineering and R&D personnel to solve application problems.
  • Travel with field sales representatives, make sales calls and presentations to secure equipment orders.   
  • Train customers and sales representatives on pricing and applications for Separation, Metal Detection and Vibratory Systems. 
  • Entertain and act as guide during representative and customer visits, including coordinating lab tests and sales training sessions.
  • Occasionally make start-up and service calls.
  • Act as liaison between customers and reps in the field and various Eriez Headquarters  departments.
  • Be familiar with the policies, products, pricing, etc., of the Separation, Metal Detection and Vibratory product groups and assist them as necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned by Manager.

Senior Accountant

 

Qualifications:

  • BS Degree in Business/Accounting, required.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Payroll/Accounting.
  • Strong Analytical skills.
  • Computer literate; proficiency with current software applications including Excel, Word and PowerPoint.  Working knowledge of JDE system.
  • Willingness to attend additional training as required.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform payroll tasks and tax filings.
  • Assist in month-end closings on the general ledger.
  • Reconcile independently complex G/L accounts. 
  • Review and analyze Subsidiary Financial Statements.
  • Assist in consolidating the Eriez Manufacturing statements.
  • Work with consolidating “elimination” entries.
  • Responsible for the integrity of the payroll system/software.
  • Leadership role in handling Accounting issues.
  • Assist in Budget development.
  • Perform year-end reconciliation in accordance with the external auditor’s request.
  • Train and educate staff as needed.
  • Work on special projects as assigned by Accounting Manager or Controller. 
  • Calculation of taxable benefits.

Lead Digital Signal Processing Engineer, Global R&D Group

 

Job Description:

The Lead DSP Engineer in the Global Research and Development Group will be responsible for developing sophisticated signal processing algorithms using pattern recognition, filtering, feature extraction, and other modern digital signal processing techniques. These algorithms will be used to identify metal contaminants in products inspected by commercial metal detection equipment used in the food, pharmaceutical, and plastics industries.  Analysis tools like Matlab will be used to develop new data processing algorithms.  These algorithms will then be converted to a high- level language such as C++ for use in high speed real-time applications.
 

Education and Experience:

  1. Minimum of a Master of Science degree (PhD preferred) in either Computer, Electrical, or Software Engineering with a focus in Digital Signal Processing.
  2. Minimum 5 years of experience in design, troubleshooting, and testing of real-time programs running digital signal processing algorithms.

Qualifications: 

  1. Proficient in Matlab or similar high-level signal analysis software.
  2. Willing to travel on occasion.
  3. Proficient with interfacing to electronic hardware.
  4. Possess the hands-on ability to collect meaningful data from prototype equipment for DSP evaluation. 
  5. Possess the ability to lead a product development project from inception to completion.
  6. Possess excellent communication skills (written and verbal) to support engineering, manufacturing, and sales across Eriez global subsidiaries.
  7. Skills relating to GUI development, communication, sensors, and equipment integration are highly desirable.
  8. Experience programming in either C, Visual C++, or C# is highly desirable.

Duties:

  1. Research and develop sophisticated signal processing algorithms on data sets. 
  2. Analyze data sets using tools like Matlab.
  3. Convert algorithms to high level language (such as C++) and work into real-time system.
  4. Optimize algorithms to extract small target signals from large noise signals for various metal detection equipment and sensors.
  5. Be an integral part of a team that develops elegant signal processing solutions to difficult problems relating to new and existing industrial equipment and electronic sensors.
  6. Evaluate new technologies to help expand and enhance current product offerings.
  7. Develop documentation for use by engineering, sales, manufacturing, government, suppliers, and customers.
  8. Responsible for archiving and deployment of software.
  9. Travel to conduct field tests/start-ups on detection systems and other equipment.
  10. Work with customers to help solve field equipment problems.
  11. Perform other similar and related duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor.

Lead Mechanical Engineer

Description:

  • Design and Engineer custom equipment to fulfill customer requirements. 
  • Manage product lines and assign customer orders to engineers and designers.
  • Maintain order schedules and ensure that the equipment fulfills customer requirements. 

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 5 to 15 years of experience in machine design with solid modeling experience. 
  • Project Management experience with supervisory skills

Qualifications:

  1. Possess the ability to understand how a product is to function from a theoretical point of view.
  2. Possess Machine Design experience with the ability to review existing and new product designs from and an engineering point of view and determine the critical components or design features that require engineering calculations.
  3. Possess the ability to perform necessary engineering calculations and establish engineering guidelines to design reliable, cost effective equipment to fulfill customer requirements.
  4. Possess adequate communication skills to relay clear, concise information to supervisors and co-workers and designers.  This includes constantly improving oral communication skills and improving technical writing skills.  
  5. Possess the ability to create solid models using Inventor and demonstrate the ability to create solid models of product lines and create drawings from the model implementing ANSI/AWS documentation practices for proper drawing dimensions, tolerances and symbols. 
  6. Possess the ability to work independently on customer orders and assigned projects with minimal supervision.
  7. Possess Project Management experience with supervisory skills.
  8. Demonstrate a level of creativity and ingenuity, as well as problem solving skills, to provide reliable, cost effective solutions to design issues. 
  9. Willing to travel on occasion.

Duties:

  1. Review Sales orders and determine from accompanying specification sheets the amount of engineering and design resources required to complete the order. This includes interfacing with Sales to ensure that specification sheets are complete as well as to obtain the necessary information required to design the equipment to customer expectations.
  2. Modify existing equipment designs and design new equipment lines based on customer requirements and perform the necessary engineering calculations to ensure reliable operation in the field.
  3. Solid model new/modified equipment using Inventor software and produce production drawings as required with proper dimensions and tolerances per ANSI and AWS documentation practices. 
  4. Produce Installation, Operation, and Maintenance (IOM) documents for equipment.
  5. Evaluate product lines for third party certification (UL, CSA, CE).  Determine the scope of the project and identify issues and provide solutions. Interface with third party and follow project to completion.
  6. Communicate concerns and questions to immediate supervisor.
  7. Evaluate equipment issues on the shop floor and in the field, and provide solutions to troubleshoot equipment issues.  
  8. Work on product improvement projects as defined by immediate supervisor and maintain a design notebook outlining improvements based on engineering calculations. 
  9. Supervise Designers and Engineers in a product line.
  10. Schedule customer orders through the engineering department and maintain an order schedule.
  11. Interface with Sales and Manufacturing to identify areas in the product line that require improvements to increase sales and increase manufacturing efficiency. 
  12. Implement the latest technology into existing product lines to improve product reliability and increase manufacturing efficiencies.
  13. Perform tasks as assigned by immediate supervisor under normal supervision.
  14. Review drawings when necessary to ensure proper dimensions and tolerances.  Relay drawing issues to designers to correct drawings. Ensure that the designer understands the issues, and what is required to correct the drawing(s).
  15. Travel on occasion to field installations to evaluate and trouble shoot equipment issues. 
  16. Perform tasks as assigned by immediate supervisor.

Mechanical Engineer Level 1

Description:

  • Design and Engineer custom equipment based on standard product line designs and established engineering guidelines.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology.
  • College graduate to 5 years experience

Qualifications:

  1. Possess the ability to review existing product designs from and an engineering point of view and determine the critical components or design features that require engineering calculations.
  2. Possess the ability to perform mathematical calculations using established engineering guidelines to design reliable, cost effective equipment to fulfill customer requirements.
  3. Possess adequate communication skills to relay clear, concise information to supervisors and co-workers.  This includes constantly improving oral communication skills and improving technical writing skills.  
  4. Possess the ability to learn and implement ANSI documentation practices for proper drawing dimensions and tolerances. 
  5. Possess the ability to learn and implement proper AWS weld symbols on drawings 
  6. Possess the ability to learn Inventor solid modeling to create solid models of product lines, and create drawings from the model implementing ANSI documentation practices for proper drawing dimensions and tolerances. 
  7. Willing to travel on occasion.

Duties:

  1. Develop the theoretical/engineering understanding of equipment within the assigned product line.
  2. Learn to perform engineering calculations on the assigned product line.
  3. Learn Inventor solid modeling and develop solid models of the assigned product line.
  4. Learn ANSI documentation practices for dimensioning and tolerances and AWS standards for documenting weld symbols on drawings.

Utility Assembler (Fluid Recycling)

Job Summary:

The Utility Assembler (Fluid Recycling) will use specialized tools/fixtures, both electrical and mechanical, to complete assembly tasks.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

  1. Use specialized tools and fixtures electrical and mechanical to complete assembly.
  2. Read and understand electrical diagrams and perform various electrical wiring tasks.
  3. Able to use various machines including drill press, threading machine, cut off saw, etc.
  4. Operate overhead cranes, chains, slings, clamping devices, presses and porta power.
  5. May need to operate power equipment such as forklifts and scissor lifts.
  6. Able to perform some Mig welding tasks as needed.
  7. Maintains, organizes, and cleans equipment and the work area.
  8. Perform assembly work in Fluid Recycling and other assembly areas as directed.
  9. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Skills & Abilities:

  • Able to read and interpret engineering drawings including electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and P&ID drawings and use basic shop math including decimals and fractions.
  • Able to read and follow engineering drawings, assembly procedures, instruction manuals and material/pick lists to complete assemblies.
  • Prior machine assembly/small engine experience a must.
  • Must have experience in plumbing/filtration with pipe fitting experience.
  • Ability to cut, fit and thread piping.
  • Able to work in a safe manner dealing with heights, ladders and lifts.
  • Work in a safe manner dealing with powerful magnets and high voltage.
  • Must be able to multitask.

Technical Sales Representative - International Sales

 

Qualifications:

  1. Four-year Degree, Bachelor of Science, Business Management, Engineering or eight years equivalent related experience.
  2. 3-5 years applicable sales/marketing experience, preferably industrial equipment in process industries.  
  3. Ability to work with individuals at all levels, customer, representative and internally with little supervision.         
  4. Excellent communication skills including business and technical writing.  Able to handle details of equipment sales, including commercial and technical issues and work effectively under pressure.
  5. Must be willing to travel, mostly internationally, as necessary (typically 30-35%, may be more from time to time)
  6. Experience with personal computers, word processing and spreadsheet applications required.
  7. Exceptional language skills required.  Must be highly proficient in the Spanish language, written and spoken.  Other languages a plus.
  8. Must be authorized to work in the U.S. and eligible to obtain any and all travel visas required. 

Job Duties:
