Eriez to Highlight Tramp Metal Control and Feeding Solutions at CONEXPO-CON/AGG

Eriez will present integrated tramp metal control and feeding systems at CONEXPO-CON/AGG 2026, demonstrating how aggregates producers can safeguard critical assets, reduce unplanned downtime, and maintain reliable, high-volume production. The company will exhibit in Central Hall, Booth C23011, March 3-7 in Las Vegas.

As producers pursue higher tonnages while managing costs in a tightening economic climate, equipment damage and unscheduled stoppages are under increasing scrutiny. Drawing on more than 80 years of experience, Eriez addresses tramp metal as a significant productivity and safety risk. Its product portfolio of aggregates includes vibratory feeders, magnetic separators, and metal detectors, designed to deliver layered control across the process flow from primary feed to final screening.

Within its magnetic separation line, Eriez offers suspended electromagnets, suspended permanent magnets, magnetic head pulleys, and magnetic drum separators. These systems continuously remove damaging ferrous tramp metal from high-burden belts before it reaches crushers, mills, and grinders, helping to minimise belt damage, unplanned downtime, and costly emergency repairs.

For material handling, Eriez provides heavy-duty electromagnetic and mechanical feeders engineered for high-capacity, high head-load applications. The B-HC High Capacity electromagnetic feeder line is specifically designed for demanding installations beneath hoppers, delivering controlled metering of bulk materials to conveyors, screens, and crushers to support stable, predictable throughput.

To detect metal contaminants, Eriez manufactures a complete line of metal detectors for bulk materials. The MetAlarm® metal detector line offers units designed for installation over or under conveyor belts in rugged aggregate environments, providing high-sensitivity detection of both ferrous and nonferrous tramp metal.

“Every unplanned stop has a ripple effect across the plant — lost throughput over time, missed delivery windows, and, in some cases, genuine safety concerns,” said Chris Ramsdell, Heavy Industry Business Development Manager at Eriez. “Producers tell us they want fewer surprises and greater control. Our role is to help them build stability into their processes with integrated systems that operate reliably every hour of every shift, allowing teams to focus on production rather than recovery.”

Visitors to CONEXPO-CON/AGG can meet with the Eriez aggregates team at Booth C23011 to discuss current projects and site challenges. For more information, visit www.eriez.com.
