The following positions are currently available at Eriez.
Position: Junior Buyer/Expediter
Requirements:
1. Able to read and understand written instructions.
2. Able to use basic shop math.
3. Experience in purchasing or related functions.
4. Computer literate and keyboard proficient.
5. Basic knowledge of raw materials and industrial components.
6. Able to handle correspondence, hardcopy and electronic.
7. Able to handle high volume of telephone communication.
Duties:
1. Purchase materials for Eriez requirements.
2. Negotiate best possible terms to improve quality, delivery and price.
3. Expedite material requirements to meet customer demands.
4. Data entry work as required by the Purchasing system.
5. Act as purchasing liaison to other departments -- strong system “know how” required.
6. Visit vendors as required; maintain close contact and partnerships with vendors.
7. Complete necessary follow-up activities to assure delivery.
8. Request and analyze quotations for new and existing items.
9. Make adjustments with vendors with regard to replacements due to non-conformity to Engineering or Purchasing specifications.
10. Arrange for returns of materials declared surplus or obsolete and negotiate receipt of materials not conforming to purchase specifications.
11. Perform other related duties as assigned by Purchasing Manager.
