CRS Fluid Recycling Systems

Eriez has put all the aspects of good coolant and fluid management to work in a single machine, the CRS Fluid Recycling System.

CRS Fluid Recycling Systems

An Eriez Coolant Recycling System can recycle any water-miscible fluid to its maximum potential and in doing so minimizes or eliminates disposal, reduces usage of the fluid concentrate, and improves plant profitability and productivity. These systems range in size from small to large and feature low maintenance, unattended operation, and fast return on investment. You’ll add to profits year after year.

In its standard form, it is designed for use with water-miscible coolant and cleaner products that reject tramp oils. The CRS 120SS supplies the basic requirements for fluid recycling and yet allows the flexibility to meet the customer’s future needs. It has a convenient side-by-side tank design and is equipped with the Coalescer for removing free and mechanically mixed tramp oils. The CRS 120SS can also be fitted with a high speed centrifuge (either initially or at a later date), which removes not only the free-floating and mechanically mixed tramp oil, but also those bacteria-feeding tramp oils that have been partially emulsified into the metalworking fluids.

The Eriez CRS 120ST includes even more features. Its stacked tank design is ideal for the shop trying to conserve floor space. With its standard high-speed centrifuge, this system allows for complete recycling of any metalworking coolant. Because the SED CRS 120ST uses a true high-speed centrifuge, only one pass through the system is necessary to remove
tramp oils, particulate matter and a substantial portion of the bacterial population. Cleaning the fluid to this degree eliminates the need for expensive, energy-intensive coolant pasteurization.

The Eriez CRS 300ST delivers an even larger centrifuge for higher processing rates. The feature packed system also allows greater flexibility for adding optional equipment. The Eriez CRS 300ST series also offers an optional dual product design, the Eriez CRS 200/200 ST, which features two dirty and two clean tanks for those facilities using two metalworking fluids.

The Eriez CRS 300SS is a complete, full capability, recycling system for the medium-to-large
sized metalworking plant equipped with machine tools utilizing individual coolant sumps. In its standard design, the Eriez CRS 300SS will easily meet the recycling requirements of metalworking facilities with up to 10,000 gallons of total sump capacity.

Do you have a situation where greater flow rates or higher processing capacities are required? Custom configurations are also available from Eriez, including systems that recycle a combination of both individual machine tools and central coolant systems. Eriez can evaluate your application and design a system for your specific needs.

All Eriez CRS Systems include an appropriately sized dirty tank and clean tank, Eriez Automatic Proportioner Mixer for coolant make up and concentration control, and an oil removal device which can include an Eriez Surface Oil Belt Skimmer for removal of free-floating, non-emulsified tramp oil from the dirty tank, Eriez Coalescer, or a highspeed
disc-bowl, liquid-from-liquid centrifuge to clean coolant to less than 0.5% emulsified
tramp oil and 2-5 microns of particulate matter. Sources for pure water are available with every CRS system. Choices include reverse osmosis systems or deionization systems designed for your specific needs.
