Grate Magnets in Housing

Eriez Tramp Iron Grate in Housings (TGH) incorporate Erium™ Ceramic or Rare Earth magnet material to remove ferrous contamination from free flowing products as it cascades through multiple grate rows within a custom manufactured housing.

Eriez manufactures standard grate housings but will custom design anything to fit your installation requirements. Typical units include a rectangular housing that holds multiple rows of powerful tube magnets that attract and hold fine ferrous contamination as material cascades around the magnets. Optional features include adapters to transition your product flow into the grate housing, sanitary finishes for food or pharmaceutical applications, additional magnet rows depending upon specific separation efficiency requirements and vibrators to help products flow quickly through the grate housing.

Grate rows are accessed through hinged doors where individual rows are removed for manual removal of accumulated tramp metal. Eriez CR2 Ceramic grates offer twice the strength of traditional ceramic magnet circuits while Eriez Rare Earth grates provide the strongest pull test of all Rare Earth tube magnets.
