This slide rule can help guide the user in selecting the appropriate magnetic separator suspension height for specific applications.

Each suspended electro and permanent magnet is designed to operate within a predetermined distance from the feed conveyor. If the suspension height is too great, the magnet selected may be larger or more expensive than necessary or it may not perform to user expectations.

This calculator is not intended for conveyor design, although it approximates magnet suspension height on moderately loaded belts. Lumps may increase effective burden depth.
