Ferrous contamination could have seriously endangered the purity of the antiacid tablets produced By Warner-Chilcott Laboratories in Morris Planes, NJ, USA.

Solution:

Following retrofit, all raw materials coming into the plant passed through Eriez Grate Magnets. Then, before the tablets were pressed, the antiacid mixture passed through additional Eriez Grate Magnets. The tablets were certified to be virtually 100 percent ferrous-free through the first seven years that the magnets were installed.

Solution:

Packaging Bayer Asprin in small flat metal tins was accomplished by installing a battery of packaging machines. The machines lined each tin with a paper insert, filled it with 12 tablets, added a folded circular, closed and discharged the tin. At their heart, Eriez Vibratory FeedersVibratory Feeders metered the tablets at a precise rate while eliminating dust and broken pieces.
