Problem:
Careful screening of plastic granules, produced by American Cyanamid at Wallingford, CT, USA was not enough to keep the compounds free of metallic particles that could damage molds or turn up in customers' molded products.
Solution:
Installation of a number of Eriez Plate Magnets and Grate Magnets in various processing operations saved 1,000 pounds of plastic material each week that formerly had to be reworked.
Increased production and a product free of ferrous contamination have been the happy results.
