Problem:
The Chester B. Stern Company, of New Albany, IN, USA was spending two and a half hours a day handling 250-pound (113kg) Knife blades for sharpening. The operation was manual.
Solution:
Two Eriez Selecto® Lifting Magnets operating in tandem, cut the time to 10 minutes per day. The magnets picked up the knife blades and held them as they were moved to the grinder. Additional magnets were used to position the blades properly for grinding.
