Problem:
The world's largest handler of dried tree fruits, Sunsweet Growers, Inc. needed a more exact measurement of the prunes being packed in containers.
Solution:
Eriez Vibratory Feeders, operating in 11 banks of 12 feeders each, were keyed to weigh scales so they fed precisely measured quantities of dried fruit into the containers. The rates were pre-set by the operator using the feeders' simple transformer controls. Accuracy and packaging speed were both reportedly improved.
