Problem:

Backing plates for automotive wheels posed a conveying problem at the St. Louis, MO, USA plant of the Wagner Electric Company.

Solution:

The plates are conveyed and oriented for degreasing after welding using Eriez' Magna-Rails® and a Magna-Roll® .

Problem:

Inland Steel Container Company in Jersey City, NJ, USA needed to move 5-gallon (19L) pail bodies from second floor curing ovens to the first floor of the plant.

Solution:

Magna-RailsĀ® saved considerable space. The steeply inclined conveyors helped move more than 2000 pail bodies per day without mishap. Also, a magnetic pulley was used to turn over pail covers so that both sides could be lacquered.

Problem:

Hand filling of shipping containers with small metal parts was slow, costly and inefficient at Parker-Hannifin's Cleveland, Ohio, USA plant.

Solution:

Speed and efficiency improved when parts were metered from a hopper with an Eriez Vibratory Feeder. Cycling the feeder on and off filled each box with just the right quantity of parts. Spillage was practically eliminated.

Problem:

The Rheem Manufacturing Company in Linden, NJ, USA was having trouble conveying steel sheets without damage. Leather belts used had high maintenance costs.

Solution:

Eriez Magna-Rolls® replaced the leather belts conveying the steel sheets out of coating machines. These permanent magnet rolls ended sheet slippage, lithograph marring and paint build-up.
