Grate Magnet in Housing - Rare Earth, Easy to Clean

Grate in Housing cleaning is reduced to a simple push-pull operation with Eriez Easy to Clean Tramp Iron Grate in Housings. The ETC incorporate the same Eriumâ„¢ Ceramic or Rare Earth magnet material to remove ferrous contamination from free flowing products as it cascades through multiple grate rows combined with a simple push-pull cleaning operation.

With Eriez' single-skinned tube design, the iron is removed with a stainless steel split ring sandwiched between two floating wipers. As the individual banks cycle tramp iron is stripped from the tubes outside the product zone. The tramp metal is then discharged through a small chute at the front of the housing. The traditional magnet cleaning cycle is reduced to a simple push-pull operation.

NEW! Eriez introduces its latest breakthrough with the new, incredibly powerful Easy to Clean DSC (Dust-tight, Sanitary, Convertible) Grate in Housing Magnet.

The DSC handles fine powders better and some head velocity pressure while maintaining a positive seal. It delivers a solution for customers who want easy cleaning features, but cannot have any spillage or leaking on their process floor.

The standard housing is sanitary on the interior, but Eriez provides customized options to meet customers' specific needs, including sanitary-welded tie bars.

Eriez manufactures standard grate housings but will custom design anything to fit your installation requirements. Typical units include a rectangular housing that holds multiple rows of powerful tube magnets that attract and hold fine ferrous contamination as material cascades around the magnets. Optional features include adapters to transition your product flow into the grate housing, additional magnet rows depending upon specific separation efficiency requirements and vibrators to help products flow quickly through the grate housing.

In our EriezXpress program, two grate sizes (10.5 x 8 & 12.5 x 10) are always available from stock and guaranteed for next day shipment.
